Financial support will be available for seven young scientists, who are younger than 30 (exceptionally 35) years old on 1 August, 2016. A person who comes from the least developed countries (LDCs) designated by the United Nations will have priority for the selection. Only the poster presenter in ISSCG-16 is eligible for the grant for young scientists of JPY ¥60,000 to help his/her travel expenses. Those who wish to be considered for the financial support should send one PDF file containing “an essay of the participation purpose to ISSCG”, “a copy of the abstract of a poster presentation”, and “a curriculum vitae (CV)” to the email address below. The title of the email should be “Financial support for ISSCG-16”. The deadline of the application is March 31, 2016 JST. The result of our decision will be informed to the applicants on April 30, 2016. The support is chiefly covered by the IUCr support of $3,000 and the rest is from the budget of ISSCG.
